Nothing brings me greater joy than stumbling upon a new fabulous winery. Recently on a visit to Healdsburg, we happened across Copain Winery. Situated high on a hill overlooking the Russian River Valley, the view as you arrive at the winery is beautiful. A large white building with a red roof and barn like door serves as their tasting room.
This past weekend, my handlers had a real treat in store for me. They packed me up and took me down to the worlds oldest annual zombie walk. What is a zombie walk you might ask? Well it’s exactly what it sounds like. Hundreds of people gather in Roosevelt Park, found in downtown Sacramento. They come dressed as all kinds of zombies. From the freshly undead, to extremely rotted corpses there’s a little bit of everything. It’s a family friendly event so you’ll find all ages from adults to babies to teenagers and even the occasional dog. Continue reading “Wine and Zombies and Dinosaurs, oh my!”
I feel like I have slacked off slightly the past few weeks on my blog posts. I must say that this venture has been a bit more difficult than this Dino really imagined. With that said, I have been finding time to read through other blogs and stumbled upon a Monthly Wine Writing Challenge that really caught my attention. Each month there is a different theme that is chosen by the previous months winner. This month’s #MWWC27 theme is “Bubbles” and was set by JVB Uncorked. I wasn’t planning on attempting one of these challenges just yet considering I am really new to the blogging world, but how can I pass up the chance after spending some time visiting the land of bubbles just last weekend? So here I am, giving it the old college try! Continue reading “Bubbles Abound”
Instagram is good for many things. Whether you are looking for new trends, keeping up with the lives of friends and family or stalking a celebrity, you can do it all via social media. I personally use it primarily to keep up with all things wine and nothing catches my eye faster than a new tasting room popping up in my area. That’s how I stumbled across Sentivo Vineyards. With the name Sentivo translating from Italian to mean “I felt” or “to have felt”, you definitely experience all the feels when you visit this winery. Continue reading “A day at Sentivo Vineyards”
Wow, what a weekend! A lot happened to this wino dino over the past few days, everything of course revolving around delicious fermented grapes.
Started off on Saturday with a quick surprise visit to a lovely fellow named Andrew for his birthday party. As a wine lover and an even bigger dinosaur fan you can imagine he was quite excited to have the one and only Wineosaur pop in and make an appearance! The rest of the birthday clan seemed a bit confused by a large lizard walking into an adult birthday party but once they realized I came bearing wine they warmed up quite quickly.
